Dear Students,

No further incidents occurred on the Mafikeng Campus yesterday, 16 February and the process of cleaning up the campus was set in motion. A heavy security presence is however still being maintained. Classes have resumed this morning without any incidents up until now.

The four suspects that was arrested in connection with the petrol-bombing of the security vehicle, appeared in court yesterday on a charge of malicious damage to property. They were released on their own recognisance and the case was postponed until 19 April for further investigation.

The disciplinary hearing against the CSRC president continued and was finalised yesterday. The outcome of the hearing will be released after heads of argument have been submitted and considered.

Kind regards

Mr Louis Jacobs
