NWU Vaal Campus orders Court Order

Herewith a link to a copy of the Application and urgent Court Order granted today, 22 September 2016, to the Vaal Triangle Campus of the North-West University (NWU Vaal). This urgent Court Order amongst others, prohibits any illegal protest or picketing, intimidation of non-protesting students and staff, damage to property and/or the disruption of normal operations at the NWU Vaal Triangle Campus. As communicated previously, Management remains committed and has a responsibility to create a conducive academic and safe environment for both staff and students.

Management acknowledges the rights of students to engage in a protected and peaceful protest and call upon students to do so in accordance with the NWU Policy on Gatherings, Demonstrations and Picketing; and to respect the rights of all students and staff on Campus.

Management remains open to a process of constructive dialogue with the students.
