Dear Students

Campus Management had a meeting on Tuesday, 27 September 2016, with the Residence Officer of the Campus Student Representative Council (CSRC) of the NWU Vaal Campus to discuss the evacuation process for students in the on-campus and off-campus residences. The original deadline is slated to be Wednesday, 28 September 2016 at 17:00. Exceptions have been made for certain students to remain on campus during the recess period. They are as follows:

  • Post-Doctoral students
  • PhD students
  • International students (as confirmed by Mrs Jenny van der Walt)
  • 17 CTA students (12 in Thuthuka Residence, and 5 in Bohlale Residence)

If you do not fit the criteria, and require an extension to vacate the residences, you must submit a written motivation on a prescribed form to v-res-help@nwu.ac.za by Wednesday, 28 September at 13:00. Where legitimate reasons are indicated, an extension will be granted until Saturday, 1 October 2016 at 11:00.
