Dear student,

The NWU Vaal Campus Student Representative Council (CSRC) met with the Campus Management on 5 October 2016, to discuss the way forward in terms of the final academic quarter. One of the agenda points was the postponement of the examinations to a later date to allow students additional time for preparation. Yesterday, 11 October 2016, an urgent meeting took place at the Institutional Office to deliberate on the request. The request was granted to change the dates of the second semester examinations.

The examinations will now start on 29 October 2016 and will be concluded on 19 November 2016. Please note that the examination dates of some Honours modules and of the following undergraduate modules WILL REMAIN UNCHANGED and will be written as indicated below:

  • 25 October – ACCF 321
  • 27 October – ACCC 121, ACCC 271, ACCF 121 and AUDF 221
  • 28 October – ACCC 371 and AUDF 321.

An updated examination timetable will be distributed to students by Friday, 14 October 2016. Classes will continue during the week of 24 – 28 October 2016, unless communicated otherwise by relevant Academics.

Best wishes for the upcoming examinations. May you use this opportunity to prepare well and achieve to the best of your ability.

Kind regards
NWU Vaal Management and CSRC
